Portable Cryo-Containers (PCC) or Mini Bulk Cylinders (MBC) for Liquid Medical Oxygen

Linde’s Portable Cryo-Containers are reliable and provide an uninterrupted supply of gases and liquids to meet your business needs. Our Portable Cryo-Containers provide an alternative to high-pressure cylinders.  We provide them in variable sizes, which helps in reducing repetitive cylinder handling cycles and changeouts and helps in reducing the risk in manual handling of cylinders.

Linde Healthcare provides a safe environment for our products, at our site and at yours.

Oxygen IP (Liquid Medical Oxygen)

Vacuum Insulated Evaporator (VIE)

Cryogenic liquid containers are specially designed for safe and economic transportation and storage of liquefied gases at cryogenic temperatures, lower than –90°C. These containers are highly insulated, in which liquid gases are stored at very low temperatures.

Vacuum Insulated Evaporator is a special kind of container, which can be called a giant thermos as it works on the same principle. VIE tanks are located outside the hospital building. Linde tankers are shipped regularly to replenish the tanks, usually without calling or ordering. The oxygen is pumped out as needed, passed through the vaporizer, and converted into gas before being piped to individual wards.

The control panel regulates the gas flow from the VIE before entering the hospital pipeline. This is an indispensable safety feature and an unparalleled area of Linde's expertise and experience.

Selecting the right VIE solution

Life-saving oxygen delivery is very important for hospitals. Regardless of whether you already own a VIE and are considering resizing or installing it for the first time, you need to make sure that you have the right system backed by an experienced and reliable supplier. Either way, the decision you make is critical because these types of installations can be complicated and expensive, so you will need to be well informed and well-advised.

There are different types and sizes of vessels, and various factors play a role in making the right choice, including:

  • Risks of continuity of supply
  • Current oxygen consumption levels
  • Your future needs
  • Hospital Technical Memorandum (HTM) 02 Guidelines
  • Practical issues such as building permits, site visits, environmental/planning restrictions, and safety

Linde healthcare supplies its products in transport tankers to meet the requirements of the customers. Linde has a fleet of about – (no. of fleet) ranging from 3KL to 28KL, which enables Linde to cater to the requirements of its customers. Linde optimizes its fleet requirement based upon the distance the product need to be transported.

Support and maintenance

  • Alarm Systems

The storage tanks can also be fitted with alarm systems and other such electronic system which enables the customer to get an alarm and avoid a stock out situation. This alarm will also help in planning for regular refill deliveries. Additionally, remote monitoring can be provided with Tel-Tank telemetry which automatically collects consumption data directly from the storage tank. Regular oxygen refill deliveries are pre-arranged at a frequency to suit consumptions patterns.

  • National Scheduling Center - NSC (24*7)

Linde has a centralized control room (Scheduling Centre) monitoring the delivery of products. The scheduling center works 24*7 basis. Which provides added reliability in its supplies to its customer in the healthcare sector. The above-mentioned facilities know that we have the resources and capability to maintain an adequate supply for both predictable consumption and emergency (disaster) situations.

  • Product Quality Assurance

Linde treats product quality very seriously, as we understand the impact it could have on your patients. Our products are produced under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as provided under Drugs and Cosmetics Act. 1940. We, therefore, ensure that manufacturing at our production plants are continuously monitored, our product is analyzed and tested before delivery of products in the storage vessels installed inside the hospital premises.

  • Maintenance and Reliability

Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out periodically by Linde’s qualified technicians and engineers to keep all storage tanks, installed inside the hospital premises, fully maintained to legislative requirements. We cater to the emergency maintenance requirement within a defined time period.

  • Safety First

We put safety first. We believe all incidents are preventable, and our goal is no harm to people, communities or the environment. We continuously work to improve our safety culture and performance worldwide. Your safety is our number one priority. Linde has a dedicated force of trained professional drivers and engineers to manage your safety during installation and at every delivery thereafter, with the support of well-proven policies and procedures including Permit to work, method statements, etc. Customer safety training is provided at the time of installation handover to ensure that all aspects of gas safety are covered on your site. Further Approved Person training courses are available from Linde to ensure consistent training of site personnel.
